Default Upgraded head Unit

So today I upgraded my Bose head unit in my 2009 convertible.
I upgraded to a Kenwood DMX706S I used a Axxess AXSWC and AXGM-04 to connect to all existing controls/amps.
Everything was working fine prior to install with stock unit.
Now when I turn car on everything sounds good for the first 30 seconds(approx) and then I lose all sound to the front speakers. They do not seem to be getting any type of power. I think the large door speakers are still getting something as I can feel some bass coming from them.
Did I mess up some of the settings for the convertors? Could be as this is my first upgrade in a very long time.
Bad bose amp? Why would it work with base unit.

Anything else?
I read a lot of posts prior to doing the install to make the decision but do not remember reading about this problem prior.

Anyone else experience this in doing a swap.

The recommended interface module for the C6 is the PAC RP5-GM11. This has the steering wheel controls and OnStar support in one module.
I have heard too many odd stories with the Access interfaces.

I am using the PAC module in my C6 without issue.

I suggest going with one of the PAC interfaces depending on the features you want to retain, like mentioned the RP5-GM11 is the most commonly used one, but there are others that'll work depending on what you want. https://catalog.pac-audio.com/?fc=mo...m=1881&submit=

Thank you, Im going to try a new Axxess unit the dealer brought in.
Im trying to support my local radio shop and this is what he swears by. I shared your comments with him and will try the PAC if this does not work.
Covid in Canada hurt a lot of our local shops.
Will update once I figure something out.

Just a quick update.
New Axxess came in installed into the car and same thing, front speakers stop working after a few seconds.
Called support they needed to look into it. Would call back when had an answer.
While waiting tried new head unit, same thing happened.
Put back in the original head unit to ensure it did not do the same thing. Speakers work just fine.
While looking for some parts for another build the shop found a Crux convertor.
Installed that and it now all works. Axxess never called back while I was there so do not know if they ever fixed it.

New issues now and not sure if related.
1. Right turn signal now has fast blink
2. DRL do not seem to be on automatically
Old issues that would like to get fixed
I installed LED lights and now I lose radio reception every-time I use turn signals or step on the brakes. Resisters are installed.

Thank you everone.

It's my understanding that the AM/FM antenna is at the rear of the car, I bet your LED's or the resistors for them are causing interference issues via the antenna when they're on. I have LED's taillights on my car but no resistors, and they work fine and don't interfere with my Pioneers AM/FM reception. Perhaps relocating the resistors might help you out. This shows what I believe is the AM/FM antenna module.

Thank you, I have the resisters free hanging in the rear. I was going to mount them on a alum. sheet and place them higher to see if that worked. If not will try what you say in the winter. I am going to take apart the car more to do some more upgrades. New head unit makes it sound much better but still need a little more bass so will take interior out to run power and a amp with sub boxes.

How can you not use resistors on an LED? I thought it was required to drop the voltage to proper limits.

The resistors are not for voltage drop, they are to add resistive load to the circuit to stop "Hyper Flash", the OEM standard lighting by nature had load where as an LED does not which causes "Hyper Flash" due to the systems not seeing the resistive load. This was the warning system that a light was burned out.

I'm having a similar issue. I bought the Kenwood DMX7706S head unit along with the Crux SOCGM-17C Radio Replacement Interface. I have no audio out of my speakers at all. Which Crux adapter did you use?

Go with the PAC RP5-GM11. It is the recommended interface for the C6.

Though, there's been a few people who've had issues with these also, but from what I've seen, they're the most commonly used one on this forum.

Sorry did not pay attention to what one was installed. From the list I would assume it would be either the SOCGM-17B or C. Do you know if I pulled it apart would it tell me on the unit? If it matters I can do tonight or tomorrow. They were ordering in the PAC RP5-GM11 for me but found this one.

Thank you,

Thank you,
Assuming the label is still on the unit, I would imagine you could tell you what unit you have.

Sorry for not posting sooner, I pulled the head unit from the car and could not see any markings in the adaptor.
Did you get anywhere with your unit to work?

I did make progress. Everything works great except for the reverse trigger for the rear-facing camera. How's yours?

Mine is still working, no problems. They did have to change the rear camera trigger from the two units. I think it was the old adaptor had it running through that and this one has it going to the radio? Not sure.
Winter project will be a good Time to build a box to fit behind the seat and between the top.

It is a Pioneer AVIC-8201NEX

FYI: I went with the Kenwood DMX7706S but pulled it out and swapped it for the Alpine ILX-W650 instead.
