'06 still making me smile after 3 years (Homelink)
I have a 3LT 2006 convertible. I discovered 3 buttons in the visor. Turns out the car has Homelink. Did some homework, and I had my wife sit in the car and press the left button while I pressed the learn button on my Liftmaster garage door opener. Learn button started to flash, my wife released the 3rd button on the visor and the learn button went solid. And then she pressed the visor button again and voila, the garage door closed. Over 15 year old tech still works. Nice.

My car came that way and I converted it to a manual switch in the dead pedal to remove the controller.
Thanks Pete. I read enough folks complain about having to be too close to the door to get it to open when using the bridge kit.
Try one of these, it worked for mine. https://www.liftmaster.com/homelink-.../HOMELINK+RPTR

Same here, three years now. Just learned if you disconnect the battery you have to re-index the windows for the power top to work. Google is a good friend!!

That hasn't been the case with me, mine will open about 50' away from it, and it's inside a steel building, without it I wasn't able to get the Homelink to work at all.

Rybern has a 2011 C6. So he wouldn't have a Homelink transmitter in his car. 2011's have the Lear Car2U system. So you would need a Car2U repeater. I bought one for my 2012, worked for a couple of months and then it died. I noticed it was always pretty warm when plugged in prior to breaking. After it died, I just gave up and now keep the garage transmitter in the car.

Good question, not sure exactly what year, but I think only early C6's (05-06) had the HomeLink system. The simple way to tell which system your car has, the HomeLink transmitter has 1 led light and 3 buttons, while the Car2U has 3 led lights, one for each button.

Yep 2011 c6 is a car2u repeater (identified by 3 red lights and 3 buttons on the visor)I bought one 2 weeks ago from chamberlain (less than $40) pretty sure they also own lift master you can always call their customer service or email them and mine works about 50 ft away as well brick garage with aluminum door
