Have an 08 silver z06. Debating on carbon or black zr1. I'm in Canada and a zr1 spoiler is like $1400 through dealer. Who has the best fit aftermarket?

I’ve had great experiences with C7 Carbon. Spoiler, side skirts and splitter. Fitment and finish was great. I see now they have long wait times depending on order.

That's what's disturbing. lol I'm trying to find in stock. Trying to find someone to do heads. I'm in Canada so it's very tough. It's looking like this toy is going to be a winter project.

I ordered a C7 Carbon, ZR1 Extended fiberglass spoiler 3 weeks ago and they told me they were 6-8 weeks out. I'm not sure of the lead time for the other versions. Good luck.

I have the EOS Extreme online store glossy black extended ZR1 spoiler. It was $250 bucks on amazon and its fit and finish were outstanding for an aftermarket piece. I would definitely buy one again. I used 2 existing bolt holes and 3m taped the rest of it, instead of drilling my car.

RPI Designs seems to have a good reputation on their ZR1 spoiler. Less than $400 for a color matched and $500 for carbon fiber.

Aerodynamics,

Hence C6 corvette starts off with lift, and if you are going to decrease the amount of lift in the back of the car with ZR1 spoiler, then need to decrease the amount of lift in the front of the car at the same time.
So this means that will need ZR1 front and side splitters to balance out the back added ZR1 spoiler to get the handling Aerodynamics back in check.
And if this a base car, then problem gets worse, since no one make a narrow body front bumper splitter needed support bracket.

Is the guy going 500 mph? There’s ton of people that put the rear spoiler on the car (me being one of them) without the front splitter and side skirts. One does not “need” to add them.

to answer your original question, it’s a matter of taste. Some like the carbon look, some black paint, and others the color of the corvette. I have black wheels, black vinyl top and halo, and carbon fiber spoiler. I think it looks good, but I’m biased. Lol

it looks like you have a silver convertible w/ black top and with silver wheels from your avatar.
Do you want the spoiler to blend in then get silver. If you want some more contrasting color, go black or carbon fiber to match the black convertible top.

If so decide which route you want to take. Real carbon fiber pieces are expensive. You can get hydro dipped parts that look like carbon fiber.

You might get it sometime in the next six months, and it might match, and you might not have any issues with it. But if you do, they’ll never respond to you.

The Extreme Online Store ZR1 rear spoiler is an exact replica of the OEM ZR1 spoiler. It’s always better to get the spoiler painted locally (if painting).

I didn't know that Jeff. Thanks for correcting me. The Extreme Online Store spoiler will be the one I go with if I decide to do it.

My avatar is my old 08 vert. I just bought a silver 08 Z06. Haven't got around to uploading pics.

I'm looking for the "full width rear spoiler" for my 2013 base coupe. Cultrag Performance had the exact one I wanted years ago (part # 19172813) for $226.25 but it has been discontinued. I have found ones very similar at CARID (part # 84219030), WCC (part # 35107831) & My OEM Parts Store (part # 20921727). Prices range from $194.19 to $399.95. Of course I would want it unpainted and take it to a body shop nearby and have them match the color and install.
Has anyone ordered rear spoilers from any of the 3 companies mentioned? How was the fit once installed?

If you want a painted full width ZR1 style spoiler you will have a hard time finding a better deal than this one for $245.

I've installed 5 of these on personal and friends Corvettes and everyone was thrilled with the results. Hard to beat great fit, great color match, great looks and great price point.

@Iceaxe This is the exact spoiler I ordered for my C6--in fact, I used your link.

Question, did you drill into your car it did you just apply the tape? I'd rather use the tape, but I don't want the damn thing flying off either.
