I drilled and bolted all the spoilers I've mounted because I never planed for them to be removed. I have no doubt the tape will hold the spoiler probably for as long as you own the car, but eventually I felt the tape might weaken. I've mounted so many of these spoilers now that drilling holes doesn't bother me, but drilling holes the first time in my personal Corvette did make me cringe a little :-)

Yeah, exactly! At least they give you the tape to line the holes up correctly. One other question: When drilling, is there just a top layer or another layer under the fiberglass/plastic you have to drill through? I want to make sure and not drill too deep and mess something up. Thanks!!

Just drill through the plastic, it's about 1/4" thick and there is nothing underneath. You will remove your tail lights (one torx screw each) and reach through the tail light holes to install the spoiler bolts. It only takes about an hour to install the spoiler, and that is going slow and measuring everything twice.
