I need to get a new key fob for my 2007 vette and am wondering if I will need to take it to a dealership to have it programmed? Anyone done this lately and how much? I’ve seen them for sale on the internet but not sure about the quality. Thanks for the feedback.
I bought my Fob from Amazon for 2005, and if I had problem easy return, and then went to u-tube and watched video, easy has pie, only thing after program you need to set all your memories with the new fob.
I first did a short program to make sure my glove box key insert was working, then I did a long program to erase all the memory and reprogram my fobs. Instructions are on this board on how to do a short and long program, very easy to do.
Make sure you trunk key mechanism works..... You need this to reprogram your fob. Mine did not work and I had to remove the back cover (carpet cover inside) and reach in and initiate the program by hand by pulling the lever five/six times.

You can use the 2009 and later fobs on a 2007? Can the blank keys be cut for the 07?
