Default Selective Ride Control

I have been trying to clear this message on my 2012. We have been using a Tech2 and when we get to the BCM screen it asks which radio I have, I have a JVC unit, it says it can't communicate. I called Crutchfield to ask if the adapter could cause this and he didn't think it would. Does anyone have a suggestion?

What does that have to do with Selective Ride Control? Was your message just "Selective Ride Control"?

Default It may be the Radio

My Buddy has a C T S V Cadillac and changed the radio because the CD was having problems . To a GM radio but not the one that was married to the car and the TPM’s would not pair to car because of the radio which also put his car into the limp mode top speed 50 mph sending out the service selective handling. He ended up going in with a tech 2 to fix the problem . I can not remember what he said that he did But he said it took him a little bit to correct the problem . The TPMS communicate w/ the Yaw sensor, wheel speed sensors ,wheel position sensor and probably 3-5 other sensors I did not mention

My have to go into BCM set up if, a Nav radio/XM module was pulled so your not getting these error messages, but what DTC are you getting/trying to clear, since if only radio error on a C6, should not effect anything else.
Hence with after market radio and it needed after market adapter, will always get the standard error code when the Tech II is trying to connect with the radio, since it not there. If the Nav and XM are still selected in the BCM RPO list, will be getting these codes as well.

As for once you are done with basic's into tech II, and get the no radio found error, then either go to BCM to pull the F55 errors, or go to F55 to check and clear the codes from there. Note, if F55 has been pulled from the car, then go into BCM set up RPO list, and de-select the real time damperning to disable the F55 module.

If F55 is still in play, then pull the F55 codes to see that the problem is, what needs to be resolve so you can clear the codes once corrected. Hence if you do have a problem, clearing any codes will not help, since as soon as your done/car is started again, BCM will do a quick check of the systems every start up, and if finding a error, will report the code again.

To add, if you are using a Nano with Tech2win, then use 2013 year car to get to the C6's BCM data. it's a glitch with the cracked tech2win software, and from 2006 to 2103, you have to use 2013 model year to get to BCM data.

As an FYI, I have a JVC that I got from Crutchfield along with the PAC RP5-GM11 interface that I installed on my 2012 ZR1 and have had zero issues. Adding an aftermarket head unit (with interface) will not cause any errors. If the car has MagRide (Selective Ride Control), the most obvious answer would be the connector to the selector **** on the center console wasn't plugged back in when everything was put back together.
