Pretty much no mod is worth anything as far as resale and is often detrimental to resale. Best bang for the buck an off road computer tune.IMHO.

Well I did a lot this year, Caliper paint and tinting the windows and a New Torque-tube and I think one of the best mods I'll do to this base LS2, is a Corsa Sport axle back exhaust system, provided it ever gets here. bought it 3 months ago and no sight of it yet ? and I blew $1057.74 getting the headlights with new lens and I went with this UMNITZA everyone was so excited about, Real sorry I got involved with them, Partly my fault, I live on the East coast and I had to ship them to the West coast, so I should of found a vendor closer than 2900 miles away, and it took 3 weeks and when they got back here, the drivers side had a quarter sized piece of fiberglass sitting inside the lens inside and I was able to sit down with it and shake it for 5 minutes and I got it to fall down in back or the high beam bulb which I removed, but it's still in behind the bulbs and I can't get it out and I bought the lenses and the LAMIX-X protective film, but I never got it and I email them 3 times but like a lot of these vendors. . . Once you've paid them, you don't matter anymore, so I had to get a set of Lamin-X precut film set from Amazon and I installed it myself. So I still need to get the lifters changed out with a new set, but over all I think the car has come a long way and it's about finished, next year a new set of Michelin Pilot-sport 4S on all four wheels. it's been a real learning experience, that's for sure !

2012 Grand Sport, auto

1) Replaced factory NAV unit with Boss head unit - Android Auto & Apple Carplay capable, along with front and rear cameras. FAR more capable than the factory head unit! Adding the cameras were immensely useful!
2) Car came from previous owner with straight exhaust (no mufflers). They sounded awesome - very aggressive. But the drone inside was super bad. Discovered the car originally came with NPP exhaust system, so I reverted back to those. I can now enjoy my stereo and use the cell phone without the drone!
3) Also from previous owner, ZR-1 style rear spoiler, painted body-color. Love it!
4) Also also from previous owner: Lowered suspension. Looks awesome, but it was too low to be practical. I raised-it up some and I can live with it now.
5) Treated the seals and lubed the o-rings and hardware for the removable hard top. It didn't totally eliminate the squeaks, but it's much improved.
6) Installed throttle controller - eliminated the throttle lag, while being able to customize throttle response for various situations. Got mine from Soler Performance. They were very responsive and shipped very quickly! Good company!
7) Will be installing the seat bolster repair kit - I'll update on how that goes.
8) Next up - changing out the factory brake pads for a set that will not dust-out the wheels so badly (Duralast Gold). I'll update on how that goes.
9) Also next up: Jim Mero mag ride reprogram / upgrade. I'll update on how that goes. I have high hopes for this mod!
10) Also also next up: paint correction and ceramic coating (not sure if that qualifies as a "mod", but, I'm going to do it)!

Things I think I want: Cup wheels, non run-flats, cam, headers, tune.

Hope this helps.....

However an aftermarket exhaust is worth it for my own personal enjoyment. They sound and look better than stock IMHO.

Absolutely nobody modifies a vehicle with the thought of expecting to get money back or losing value. It’s done simply because one wants to be different than something boring.

A&A Kit absolutely put my 13 GS in a different class.
To whoever said mods dont help resale. Please show me where the Supercharged Grand Sports are selling for the same price as the stock ones...

The fuse method works great until it fails, which they have a habit of doing.

I haven't done many modifications, the ones I did were all worth the cost to me. Did all the work myself. 2008 M6.

Z51 front spring, Z51 sway bars and DRM Bilstein shocks. CAGS delete. "Free" muffler modification. (drilled 5/8" holes, should have gone 3/4") Changed the rear differential fluid to stop the clunking. (not really a mod, but I think the newer fluid is different PN than original)

When I need brakes, will likely change to Z51. For the future, maybe a better shifter, color matched door handles and 3rd brake light housing, tint windows and wrap the halo black?

Any pics of this or info about the cost? I'm not a fan of the chrome wheels on my GS but like the black chrome look that's coming on a lot of newer wheels.

Forgot the blacked out, LED "line" side markers. They are one of my favorite mods.

I have owned 5 Corvettes, including the 2011 GS M6 that I now own, and on all of them I did the following two things: Corsa Sport Exhaust and MGW short shift…makes the car shift and sound like it should..

Haven't regretted the DeWitts rad, Z51 oil cooler and B&M tranny cooler. Best bang for the buck was the M2W switch.

In terms of "worth" defined as highest cost/benefit ratio for my '11 GS, I would say my top 3 are:

1) Koni FSD shocks - overall biggest improvement in driving experience per dollar compared to stock
2) MGW shifter
3) Sony head unit

Now the mods that arguably didn't provide me a high cost/benefit ratio because they were exorbitantly expensive but I don't regret and would definitely blow my money on again are:

1) Katech Stage II package
2) Custom leather/alcantara door panels
3) Custom steering wheel

There are at least a dozen more mods I've done to the car that have all made my GS a better driving experience, but these are the ones I see and feel every time I get in the car that have made the biggest difference.

You go through your own post counting everything you did and you accuse me of time consuming spell check because you can’t spell your exhaust system correctly? Got it!
