In the current market $30k is at least a fair deal on any LS3 Corvette garage queen with 29k miles.

Items that would make it a great deal are a manual transmission, 3LT or 4LT interior and/or Z51 package.

If the Corvette is in great condition it will not last long at that price no matter how it's optioned. Good Corvettes that are fairly priced sell fast in today's market.

AGREED! It’s like the value on c6’s goes up and up ! I just might have to settle for the base but at least it comes with the ls3 ! That’s really all I cared about was finding a orange vette with the ls3 !

Again, look at the options you are giving up with only a 2lt package, and why you really want the 3lt package to start with.
Also, if car does have HUD (which you really want), then was it installed factory correct style after the fact, or did someone go in hacking duct lines apart (isntead of pulling the dash) to install it instead.

where is the car located? Should be able to find a trusted shop. Post on the regional section for recommendations for shops in and around the Houston area.

DJ, I am sure you are serious about buying a Vette, but it does not strike me that you know much about what you are doing. Your basic concern is LS3, color, and price. That's a very short list of "wants" in a car that has well over a hundred variations given colors, transmission choice, trim levels, and options within the trim levels. What you are looking at is a recipe for regret after you find out what you "could have had".

If I am out of line here, I apologize. Prices are NOT going "up and up"...they are already up. If you take a month to research everything, you will not have to pay any more for a car than you will today, and you might find that you really, really want heated seats, or memory settings, or a convertible, or NPP, or Z51, or CC3, or FE1, or F55, etc., etc.

Best of luck to you with whatever you decide. They are great cars, lots of fun to own and drive.

Thanks ! But yeah honestly I don’t really care about the trims or extra packages, my main 3 things I want is 1. The ls3 motor , Orange paint , and low mikes because I plan on in the future is racing the car on the weekends so the options really don’t matter as long as the car is running good , and is in good condition, im gonna take my time and look tho

If by racing you mean that you plan to track the car the Z51 package would be a highly desirable option.

by racing I’m mean , doing roll racing and also drag racing once I get the car tuned . I believe the base I had posted had the z51 package. Even if it doesn’t hopefully it’s a good deal because my budget is 20-25k cash for a vette

For roll racing and drag racing an LS3 base is all you need, everything else is whistles and bells. Good luck...

I love the "glass roof" on my 2008 LS2 Manual, Larger brakes, variable shocks, with Chiclets too. $225K miles. It's a really great car.
You can buy a polycarbonate glass roof, mint for about $800.

Good morning, So that’s was one of the things I notice when I looked at different c6’s online , some came with the see thru roof and some didn’t. I could live with getting one without the see thru roof since I’m going to be racing the car but it also would be a nice option .Do all corvettes come with the removable roof if I wanted to replace it ?

I think that price is a little high for a base. Last month I bought a 2007 auto Z51 3LT with 31,000 miles for $27k. I know these prices are going thru the roof lately but take your time and the right one will show up.
Good luck !

Why do you want low miles if you're gonna race it? If I was planning to drag race it, I'd spend less and get something with more miles, as I'd be doing mods along the way.

Also, with 20 to 25k as your budget, your budget is your limiting factor. You're not in low mile LS3 territory with that budget.

You might want to keep other colors as an option. I wanted a torch red when I was shopping. Came across a great car in crystal red. It had everything I wanted except the exact color. I bought it and am so glad I did. Same thing (different colors) happened to my son in law. Just saying as orange is hard to find.
