Question for you all: I am looking at a 2006 Vette convertible that is up for sale. The owner says it's a one owner, 3LT, Z51 but with a lot of miles. Pictures and carfax all come back good. I ask the guy to snap a photo of the option code plate in the glove box and it comes back like he claims.... except I see NO CM7 power folding top listed.... before i look stupid and quiz this seller , is the power top standard on the 3LT and or C6? I have not seen one this way.... Not a big deal but I was thinking that the CM7 was standard! Thanks, Courtney
I don't know for certain, but suspect you could even de-option if you wanted a manual top. My input, after having a C5 vert with manual top and C6 GS Centennial with power top, is that it would make zero difference which way the top was optioned if it was the car I wanted.
According to Corvette Blackbook, in 2006, the 3LT option package was required to be able to add the power top, but was a stand alone option CM7. In 2007, the power top was included in the 3LT option package.

As best as I can recall, the power top was an extra cost option on my 2006, 3LT. I believe the dealership ordered all the verts with power tops. A customer would have had to place a special order for the manual top. The power top was a big deal for me because I liked to put the top down as often as I could when I left work. Since it was a fairly short drive, I don't think I would have bothered with the manual top for such a short trip. Driving with the top down helped me relax after a tough day.
thanks everyone.... not a big deal for a manual top... had two 04 Comm Ed verts and 15/20 seconds to put up/down.... my c7 vert was power... really cool to tell new rider.... watch this... always impressed. I just sorta assumed a 3LT power roof would be standard but as my wife often tells me that i don't know everything! My Bad! lol, thanks again! I have been with out a Vette for a year now and think it's time to find another. Courtney
Courtney, I remember when you were selling your C7 vert. Here was one of your photos from sales add. I was very close to contacting you……sweet ride for sure. Good luck shopping for your “new” one.
