"Several years ago, Mazda's Robert Davis suggested that the advantage might amount to 0.1 mpg on the EPA city cycle, an improvement that could be achieved at less cost using different technologies."
Can't hardly wait... in a few years... as all these start-stop cars age and I get stuck behind them at traffic lights with their hard start or battery problems.

Yup ... and the majority of these cars with the start-stop feature will all have worn-out starter motors.
It's a nice feature to have in other vehicles to warm up the engine and the heated seats on a cold day or have the A/C full blast to cool off the interior on a hot day. Since a lot (I didn't say all) Corvette owners don't drive their cars when it's really cold or bad weather it probably not a feature that would be used often during the winter. I could see the need for it during the summer being in Texas.
I'm not sure if there's an aftermarket way of doing it.
The one thing iDo use is my Vallet feature that you can open windows or have them cracked an inch or so when it's hot outside. But to remote start the car, if you have 3 peddles , can't be done anyways
