2007 low beam headlamp bulb
Hey guys……how about a quick reference for replacing a non-functioning LOW beam headlamp. The prices are all over the board and I am not even sure which to buy. All I need is the correct information to purchase an OEM replacement bulb. I knowing going to the dlr to buy will cost me a fortune. Can someone point out on Amazon, Ebay, etc the correct bulb to buy? Again, I just need OEM ..nothing fancy. Thanks for the help.

Thanks guys for the info. Great write up Madsonp! I will do as you suggest and swap out the working (left) side bulb into the non working right side first before spending the $100 for a new bulb. If it turns out to be a bad ballast, is it a dealer item only? Appreciate all the info.

This is the replacement bulb for the low beam. https://www.autozone.com/collision-b...d1s/931238_0_0 The issue could also be that you have a bad ballast on that side, I suggest you pull the bulb you suspect as being bad and try it on the other side of the car, if it works then I suspect your ballast is bad, this will show you how to replace your ballast if it's bad. https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...t-ballast.html Here's a little guidance on changing the bulb. https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...headlight.html
Also, you should change both if it is the bulb so that they match in appearance.

Here's one for $80 https://www.corvettecentral.com/c6-0...ballast-446007 And then here's one for $60 https://www.carid.com/race-sport/fac...eid=1463272295 I think they're $300+ from the dealer.
Thanks, I ordered one. Will keep it for an extra if it turns out to be just the bulb.

I recently refreshed a set of OEM lights with brighter bulbs from @VetteLights and picked up brand new OEM ballasts off eBay for $80 for the pair.

Just an update here….I ordered a ballast from Carid and bulbs from VetteLights. The car is parked as I’m doing some other work on it so there is really no hurry. When I get the parts I’ll get them installed. I decided to go ahead and get the bulbs anyway just to have them on hand and even if it is a ballast problem. Hell, its only money
thanks again for the info and links.
