Aluminum Gas Pedal

Looks like Corvette Central used to sell them, but are now discontinued. eBay as well. Plenty of other aluminum styles available.
Good luck on your search & maybe someone on the forum can turn one up for you.

I had good luck with SRP racing pedals that Installed on my 5th gen Camaro. Nice quality. They have them for the C6 Vette.

Looks just like mine. I bought it with the dead pedal together. If I can find my receipt I'll tell you who I bought it from. OK I bought them from CorvetteMods back in April of 2013.

FYI, but on the elite pedal, why it does not come with a nylon barrel shim to keep it tight, still have no clue.
As for standard or heal toe, go with the heal/toe if you are doing any kind of road course use. Hence dropping into 2 from 5 during hard braking for end of straight corner, will need to blip the throttle to get a clean shift into second, so you can come off the clutch on the way out of the apex,
Note, I don't do engine braking, so brakes all they way to the apex to keep the front end weight transferred, then back of the throttle on the way out to force the back end to drive the front end inwards to hold the line.

To those that have the Elite pedal...how difficult was the install? Can you give me an idea what is involved? I like the idea of the heel toe pedal.

I would suggest that you remove the pedal assembly and do the replacement on a bench. Working in that small space was too daunting for me.

Very easy, since you remove the pedal assembly from the car, then remove the old pedal, install the new pedal with home made barrel shim (could just use a bic pen case), then reinstall the pedal assembly back in the car.
The top section of the pedal is a clip in, so you just need to pull the connector, and remove the bottom nuts to pull it from the car.

Easy 20 minute job. I'm not sure what the shim is Dano is adding. My pedal came with a spring that slides over the Allen bolt to keep everything tight and in place. This second spring might be Elites solution to the shim Dano added, or not...
Here is the pedal install video for anyone interested. It also shows the second spring I mentioned.

These look good. But which has the best grip? My foot slips off clutch if my shoes get wet. Sometimes that's scary.

Just bought these from your suggestion, they look awesome but you had me at ADJUSTABLE. Thanks!

Yeah, the pedals are overlays, so you can change their height using spacers if necessary to get to your preferred driving position - seat vs pedals vs steering wheel vs shifter. It just gives you another degree of adjustability along with the seat and steering wheel. On my car I raised the clutch pedal about 1" and the gas pedal 1/8" to make heel & toe easier. I used spacers made by Bondura Performance engineering.
