Are there two different DashLogic display controllers ?
I ask this because Palmer Performance Engineering claims that they manufacture the DashLogic and it can be ordered directly from them ... However, looking at photos of the box that Dashlogic comes in, clearly it is an AutoMeter product.
Is there two different DashLogics made by two different companies ?
Yup .. In fact, I called AutoMeter yesterday to see if I could buy a DashLogic direct from them. They do have an on-line store, but have no available stock in the DashLogic.
Summit Racing also lists the DashLogic, but they are out of stock too ... So, my guess is the container ship from China that these would be on has not arrived here yet.

So not to highjack but I'm curious. What are the advantages of the dash logic as opposed to a muti-gauge like an HPtuners NGauge or something like that. I see you can display stuff through the hud which is pretty awesome.

I run an Ultragauge in all of my other vehicles, they both have their pluses and minuses. The Dashlogic is integrated into the factory display and has the option of adding an optional user input, while the Dashlogic is a stand alone display but can read and clear codes.

Oh well ....
Products like this are all fighting for the same canbus interface chips that the entire car market is fighting for. Not just them either, industrial controls uses a ton of can as well. I'm seeing 8 month lead times for products that used to be normally stocked, and the manufacturer won't even guarantee that they will deliver.
