Mine is behind the passenger seat as well, but you have to be careful about driving a screw into that wall because the gas tanks are behind it. If you choose to use this location, you should use liquid nails to glue a piece of 3/4" thick plywood behind the carpet. This will give you a base to screw the amp to.
C5 but similar deal. I just used heavy duty Velcro stuck on the bottom of the amp and stuck it to the factory carpet works a charm! super solid. no need for wood, screws, etc. It's not going anywhere.
Mounted the amp for my subwoofer behind the water fall where the stock Xm tuner used to be, I have an after market system in mine which uses a different XM tuner which installs behind the center console, beneath the HVAC controls, so the stock one was no longer needed.

Just remind your self the passenger seat cant go all the way back anymore depending on the size of the amp you use.
my seat goes all the way. But just one click on the angle as you can see in my pic. Seats look exactly same spot. And yes amp size will differ.
but don’t have many passengers in that seat. Lol.
I have a mini two channel in the stock BOSE/stock amp location under the passenger footwell (left of ECM/fuse boxes). fits perfectly and powers my two coax 6.5s well. Sub amp is attached to sub box which is removable in case im moving things.
Mosconi offers some crazy small amps. Like, you can power your system out of the glovebox lol.
Look at the Pico line or the Atomo line
Their A/B amps are huge 😄
