The factory nav in interchangeable from 05 to 13. There are differences between the years will later years coming with steering wheels controls and later you get an USB port and input port in the console. To install any nav into a non nav car you need to add a GM GPS antenna along with the radio. After it is installed the radio has to be paired to the vehicle VIN by a tech II. I do not know of any other scanner that will pair the radio to the VIN. I have my own Tech II and do not know what people charge to do a basic 5 min job.

Mine originally came with a bunch of extra stuff. It has a rearview mirror with extra buttons that I haven’t seen on many other Corvettes and I do have the “wart” on the roof. There’s also a good-sized plastic thing mounted on my windshield behind the rearview mirror. Originally it had XM, OnStar and that whole bit. I’m surprised the navigation screen wasn’t part of the car because of all the other tech stuff it has installed.
So if I did make the swap I’m not sure that I would need to add too much more to what I already have other than the screen and the pairing.

Thanks for laying it out here, that's very helpful. I don't know either the cost of pairing, however it can't be all tough, because it is basic security.
I have a like new NAV/RADIO for sale at an very reasonable price of $116.50 shipped. Go to the wanted to buy/for sale thread & sort by for sale. My ad is there with photos
Thanks for the heads up. That is a very good price. I’m still undecided at the moment though. Not sure if I want to go down that road yet. But if/when I do, you’ll be the first one I go to.
😉
Except we don't know if the OP has a HUD and even if he does it won't display directions in track mode which is the only useful mode as it has the G meter.
If the car came from the factory with the 6 cd changer it most likely has the 3lt option which includes the HUD.
As far as track mode, when I'm on the track I hope I already know where the next turn is!
