As a computer nerd that has never updated a C6 navigation system... I'm betting your update was incomplete or corrupted. Start from scratch and do the complete update again.
Basically computers are dumb and only do what they are told. Your's was never told to correct the date.
If you try the update again use a different brand of disc, as I know certain brands of disc's were causing issues at one time. Good luck.
1. Download the zip file. 2. Extract the kwi file. 3.burn the kwi file to a disc 4.start your car 5.put the cd in the map disc slot. 6.the update will start automatically. 7.reinstall your nav disc update again.
I may have just missed it in one of the posts, but the date did not immediately update for me after reintalling the nav disc. It appears the car had to take a nap to reset the date. It actually updated when I started the car the next day. In any event, the download worked like a charm.
