So, basically, I need to learn how to read better? I'm not sure how I overlooked the appropriate wiring harness to use, but nevertheless, thank you all for your help. I'll swap it out and report back. Thanks again
It's actually not your fault. These companies give out generic information that is incorrect. Axxess assumes that because a car has a Bose sound system option, that the Bose system has the amp and the base sound system doesn't have an amp. And then they incorrectly list multiple interfaces as being compatible. Unlike some other cars, the Corvette has a factory amp for both the base sound system and also the Bose system. So Axxess is incorrect when they list a wiring harness that is not compatible with a factory amp. All C6's came from the factory with a factory amp, and you would use the same interface and follow the same directions for all C6's, Bose or non-Bose.
Glad to help, let us know how things turn out, or if you have any other issues.
I finally had time to tear the car apart and start over... Swapped out the wrong interface for the RP5-GM11, and magically everything works the way it's supposed to. Amazing what happens when you use the right parts... Thanks for your help!
