Your ‘06 looks amazing. They say a decent ceramic coating, besides a deep shine, can actually make the color slightly different than paint that is not coated.
Anyway, maybe you can clarify a little confusion on my part- I thought that if the paint has been clayed, there would not be a need for paint correction. Unless, who ever clayed the car previously, did not correct the paint, (such as removing light scratches or swirl marks) first before applying the clay. My understanding is that a clay, although not a polish or compound, safely, yet slightly removes imperfections as well.
i’ve heard good things about the Adams graphene coating. Is that their $90 bottle?
My detailing experience has been strictly by hand, and not by machine. Lately I have been using 303 Graphine for about $26 a bottle on my other cars with good success and plan to apply it to my GS in the near future! It is easy to apply and remove like an older style caranuba wax, but lasts up to a year.

Clay just removes dirt and particles in the paint. It's done before any abrasive paint correction to give you a clean surface to work with. So you clay bar, then you cut/polish/paint correct after the clay to get the clear coat smooth and glossy. Then you apply your protection like wax or ceramic.
I started with a normal wash. Then used the plastic baggy test to see if I needed to clay the surface. Not needed because it was done last year, and the car is not a daily driver. I then used Adams One Step Polish along with the One Step Pad on my buffer to do the areas that needed correction to the paint. Finished the car off with Adams White Pad and Polish. Prior to applying the ceramic spray, I wiped down the car with Adams Surface Prep. Finally, I applied the Graphene Advanced Ceramic Spray coating.
This new Advanced coating is supposed to last up to 2 years. In my case that may work as I said this is not a daily driver. Besides when you noticed that the water is not sheeting off you can add another coat.
Been using nothing but Adams for 20 years (it's a shame the company's been sold) . The results I get using the Graphene products are about the best ever. I do the steps and Spray coating once a year on my daily driver (it's black) and I have it on my white Vette too. Can't argue that the results from a few hours work payoff. Your car looks great!

I was not aware that it was sold. When did that take place and who purchased it.?

It was bought two years ago by Recochem. They're a Canadian company and they make chemicals and products like RainX, antifreeze and coolants. Adam still owns a SMALL portion of it, and is their PR guy. He'll be at Corvettes at Carlisle again this year and still helps at a few shows around the country.
