I have a spare wheel for sale off an 06 manual. I was asked if it would work an 06 with the paddle shifters. I'm assuming the "core" wheel is the same for either, and just the paddles and guts would need to be transferred. Correct? I can't imagine GM having two different steering wheels.
Here is the back of an automatic steering wheel. I removed the paddle shifters and covered the opening with a leather patch. I used it for a little while until I found a manual steering wheel with red stitching. So if it's a manual steering wheel, it does not have the opening to attach the paddle shifters. This is a 2012 wheel. I'm assuming it's the same with a 2006.
You are correct Jeff. Sorry I was no help, lol. I would assume the cores are the same, but that's only a guess. Hopefully someone more helpful can jump in.
