A 2012 with 60,000 miles being offered for sale had the following repairs/maintenance in prepping for sale. Is this normal, or does this car look like it has issues?
Sounds to me like the car had the gas smell issue and they did the repairs on the tanks. It's a little odd that the rear shocks were changed out, but everything else looks pretty normal.
Reads like a typical dealership multi point inspection to me. That they did a few fluid exchanges is a nice bonus, most dealers likely wouldn't have done the coolant etc.
agreed on the fuel smell condition. And again, that's pretty nice they fixed it. Most dealers likely would not.

Thanks Ed. Not sure what the fuel smell issue is all about, but there was talk that the line between the tanks had to be replaced.

It was prepped by Brake Master. MRC? is that the GM listing of maintenance for that VIN#?
MRC = Magnetic Ride Control. The reason he asked is that if the car does have this, it's possible the rear shocks were "weeping" and the mechanic might have thought they were actually leaking. This would explain why the rear shocks were replaced.

Yes, the car has MRC...thanks for the clarification.
I bought my 2012 from Dealership and it was pretty much what you have listed. Mine had 50k at the time. If nothing else it gave me peace of mind that it was ready to go. And the carfax had lots of service info. It was a well taken care of vehicle. Enjoy your new ride

These guys spent a LOT of money ey on upkeep of this car then. Some not needed, some maybe so. Those shocks are very expensive, and weep as part of their normal.operation. theyre also not super common so the knuckle dragger types of mechanics see some film on them and say they need replaced, which they don't.
All that to say, I would not expect much negotiation room on this vehicle. They've got several thousand in repair work done to it, just in parts, let alone labor. What are they asking for it?

Thanks! I have a 7-day return period, so not really worried after reading replies here.

The price is $38,500. I read about the shocks being expensive with MRC. I was concerned about the car needing a new fuel gauge and pump.
It is GS Vert, 6MT, 3LT, MRC, performance exhaust.
