I recently added a HUD unit to my 2008 Corvette. I followed all directions in detail.
After installing everything and putting my instrument panel back in, when I turn my car on No HUD at all, but now even worse my panel will start up like usual and then after like 5 seconds ABS lights, low fuel (its Full), service engine etc. come on all arms fall and the only thing left is its lit up. Am I missing something? Ive checked and rechecked wires 5 times. Un-taped everything and went back through wiring thoroughly. Looked everywhere please help. Thanks
Is the HUD button height adjuster thing all the way down maybe? As mentioned, the battery could be going bad which accounts for the other lights or my first thought was you crossed wires somewhere. Had Hud put in my 08 way back when and it worked fine. STEPHEN DOTEN did the work in Connecticut. Don't know if he's still a member on here but he's still doing that work sometimes. Maybe see if you can find him here or on that social site (not sure if we can mention the F name on here) which I know he is on.
Thanks. I agree you would have to just be crazy to mess the wiring instructions up. I followed them to a T. Checked, rechecked, double check and checked again for good measure.
I guess I’ll try a new battery.
Took my battery to auto one today and they said it was good it just needed a charge.
I do t understand why my instrument panel is going crazy and won’t read. Battery volts works and Speedo but everything else will work for 5 seconds and then just drop.
I do have an aftermarket radio in and it turns off as well.
I’ll check the connectors tomorrow for the 6th time.
makes me just want to remove the HUD unit all together.
I’m sure it’s just something simple that I’m over over looking.
