Hi! I have a C6 2007 base model with a bad RCDLR module and having a hard time re-flashing the firmware. I was hoping that there was someone in the St Louis area that has encounter this issue and would be willing to help out. I have read as may forums that I can find on this subject and have the TECH 2 scanner and software, but keep running into roadblocks. Hopefully I am missing something simple or not following the procedure as I should. Any help would be welcome. Thanks in advance.
See if this video will help you. Mike is a friend from our local corvette club and I lent him my tech2 and he did this informative video of the issues he ran into and how he over came them.
Thanks, I have seen this before but I keep coming up with a connection issue when I try and reprogram the RCDLR module even though I can jack into the car.
Out of interest, are you trying to reflash a new-to-you RCDLR, or the one that was already in there? And if it's the one that's already in there, what do you mean by 'bad'? If some component on the board is fried or a cold solder joint has separated, I'm not sure how reflashing it could resolve those kind of issues.

Reach out to a forum member on here Dano523 he is most knowledgeable about the tech2 and all things C6 in general.

Thanks for reaching out. Simply put I'm trying to re-flash one I bought off of ebay. Either way i can not connect to my existing one or the used one. it all started a few years back when the car would not recognize the fobs intermittently. Batteries have been changed, both car and fob. Reprogramming the fob worked but only for a short time. sticking the fob into the glove box slot usually worked for a time. Then one day I got the "no fob" on my display with the security lock symbol. reprogramming the fob and the glove box slot did nothing. After combing countless forums, talking to the dealership and have read that the RCDLR failing is a known issue. That being said i determined that the RCDLR failed. I purchased a new fob, new fob batteries again, antennas (ebay used) and still no luck. Batteries placed in the correct position, dismantled the glove box and tried reprogramming all fobs right up against the glove box antenna, still no luck ( cell phones and other fobs out of the area at time of programming ). I bought a TECH 2 clone and set up the TIS2000 software on a XP machine. I am able to connect the the car, read various input/outputs, clear the fobs and so forth. anytime I try to connect to the RCDLR i get a connectivity issue. Perhaps I'm doing something incorrect or looking at the wrong component. I'm second guessing myself. Could this be a BCM issue? This is why I'm reaching out to this community. It makes me sad to see my Vette sitting in my garage rather than racing down the road. I have also reached out to the Corvette club in St Louis but have not heard a response back. Again any help will be welcome. I'm at my wits end .
