Ram has an inline 6 gas motor coming out. It's in the wagoneer and grand wagoneer now, the new ram 1500 is supposed to get it too. That's in addition to the ecodiesel v6, and I guess the bage pentastar. Come to think of it, that means the ram is gonna have way more 6 cylinder options than V8 options. Who'd have thought that day would come?

I actually had an old '60s or '70s dodge something-or-other sedan with a slant 6. I can't remember what it was. I just remember changing the exhaust manifold gasket and marveled at the fact that the intake and exhaust manifolds used the same (single) gasket. But I also had a '66 Dodge Dart GT with a 318. Ah, nostalgia. That was back in my teen years (I'm 54 now) where I bought disposable vehicles for next to nothing and kept them running with duct tape and bubble gum because I was also poor relatively speaking.
C7 too confined in cockpit with the way it's designed. Limited rear view. GM really narrowed the rear window and not really into the C8 euro styling. My Grand Sport will probably be my last Vette unless something happens to it.

i've only sat in a C7 once. for me, the footwell was really confined and narrow, but i felt that i had bit more leg room. the styling is ok ( for the most part ), I'm not a fan of the gauges, as I prefer the look of C6's analog style.
I totally enjoy my 2013 coupe brought new from Tommy (museum delivery) 34,000 miles, completely stock and in perfect condition. At 68 I will admit it is more difficult to get in and out of and I have toyed with the idea of trading for a Cadillac, but I'm not ready yet. Once I'm in I enjoy driving the Vette as much today as when I 1st bought it.
The body style is classic, power is more than enough, great mpg and (so far) very little maintenance. Still suffer from permagrin and get tons of compliments.
Yes the day will come when I will sell but hopefully that day is a long way away.

i would suggest that you hold onto to your ride for as long as you can. MY dad had a '98 Z/28 that he bought new and had until 2013 ( when he expectantly passed away at 73 yrs old. ). he had contracted polio when we as a child. this left his left leg usless.
he wore a full leg brace for his all life ( think of Forrest Gump ). this never slowed him down. that Z/28 had a six point roll cage that he was able to maneuver around, once his was in, he was in his cockpit. he loved driving that car. and he drove it.
when he passed, that car had 241K miles on it ( third engine though ). car still looked new too. i ended up putting another 100k miles on it ( when i sold it to get my '09 corvette ).
my point, and what has been said above by others over time, hold onto these cars. it seems the only regrets i hear, are when people sell them.

To me, The C6 wide body cars are a timeless design. Chevrolet really nailed the design of the car. Its a perfect balance of curves and lines. Traditional and new. In my opinion, the greatest engine platform ever made by Chevrolet (LS3/9). Years from now, the C6 Wide body will be the C2's of the modern generation. It's nearly the perfect car

Buying 2 vehicles I really wanted paid off. No plans to replace my C6 or '04 Tundra Crew Cab. I've enjoyed the '08 Roadster LT3 A6, performance differential, exhaust, with later 2013 Z06 shocks and Z51 struts since 2010. I admire the C6 performance and looks more than any car I've owned. I bought the Tundra new and both stablemates keep me happy and cover all my needs. Plus, I'm an average size guy and both have roomy, comfortable interiors.
At present, I am constantly debating whether or not to sell. This present Corvette, a GS convertible has the styling, features and drivability of what I have always wished for in a Corvette. My age, at 84, is telling me it is only a matter of time before driving will become a picture in the rearview mirror. I guess after I "hang up the keys" the car could become a piece of artwork. In reality, it's really not that hard to look at!

I'm hoping to get at least to your age. currently ( 60yrs old ), i feel like that is doable. Also, my love of driving seems to be my hobby of choice.

Selling my 2007 C6 Z-51 I bought new in 2007 with NCM delivery. Running out of room in the garage, new C8 on the way. I hate to sell the car but it is time to move on. It is listed on C6 for sale, with 16,944 miles on it.
I've been looking at C8s. If I end up buying one, I doubt I would keep the C6. I have put a lot of work into it, but I don't have the time for two. I managed to avoid the urge to buy a C7. Maybe the same will happen with the C8.

Thank you for the kind thoughts. I, too, hope you get to drive and enjoy your Corvette experience for many years to come. I have had a great run-6 Corvettes over 50 years, and I feel blessed to have had the privilege of ownership and the Corvette community. The Forum has provided me with many great tips and advice to assist me in maintenance and issues.
Why would I sell at this point? Simple, I am currently in the beginning stage of a three-car swap and saying goodbye to my 2013 C6 427, 2004 C5 Z06 and 2018 BMW M2. I have made this decision simply because I feel at this time, I can get top dollars for all three cars and revamp my garage due to my changing driving habits. For example, for my HPDE habits, I feel I have outgrown the basically stock C5 Z06 and will likely move up to a more powerful C6 Z06 that has been tastefully modified, perhaps a 2010 or newer, any recommendations?
For daily driving I have recently placed an ordered for a new 2023 BMW M2 with my local BMW dealership. Early reviews of the remodeled/revamped 2023 M2 are extremely positive. The M2 has always been my favorite all-purpose driver’s car, a capable and fun daily driver and backup track/HPDE car all rolled into one. The current 2018 M2 with 32K miles gets sold retail whenever I am 3 months from delivery.
My C6 427 has been a love-hate relationship since the first day of ownership. If you review some of my previous posts in this forum you will know why. My 427 has always been my weekend fun or long-distance – driving vacation cruiser. Recently after a couple of 5 + day driving vacations, one to the Florida Keys and a second to the Carolina’s, I found the driving experience to be more of a “chore” then relaxation as it been in the past. After some extensive research and test driving 6 different enthusiasts cars including a fully loaded 2022 C8 convertible, 2023 Audi S5 Cabriolet and a 2022 718 Boxter Cabriolet I decided on a car that has always had my attention for some time, the Lexus LC500 in Convertible.
