Default p1682 and u0101 code.

p1682 and u0101 codes popped up Sunday while I was an hour away from home. The car has an automatic trans and only had reverse and third gear for the ride home. It would just barely take any throttle. It starts up easy and the battery is good. I've taken lose all the module connections and cleaned them. I cleaned the mass air sensor and checked all the connections on the transmission and all seems ok. Any ideas? I've searched and read all the posts on here, but most are old. Has anyone had luck fixing this without going to the dealer?

Yes, that's what my obd scanner said. I ordered a new ignition switch. What else should I do?

Sorry, I'm not a mechanic, I don't know what to tell you.

I'm just crazy about Corvettes, especially C6s. I don't have a Corvette right now, but I've had a C2, a C4, and 5 C6s.

I just collected interesting things about the C6s. Among other things, I have an electronic copy of all 9 model years of the C6s.

Hopefully, someone else will chime in with some help for your situation.

Don't know if this will help, because this owner had 2 more codes as well, but traced the problem to a connector on the side of the transmission.

I finally got it figured out. It was the ground wire on the big connector beside the battery on the fender wall. The ground wire pin had backed out of its slot somehow.
Thanks for all the replies.

I checked the trans module connection for a good ground and it did not have a ground so I moved up to the connection that is beside the battery and unpluged it and noticed the one pin was shorter than the rest of the pins. It turned out to be the ground wire pin so I pushed it back in place and plugged it back together but it pushed back out again so I just cut the ground wire on both sides of the connection plug and spliced in a new ground wire. now all is good.
