Default Error Codes P1516, P1682, P2176, U0101

Had the these four error codes P1516, P1682, P2176, and U0101 come on the other day. Running perfect prior to these codes showing up.

2005 C6 was sluggish at the low end. Heads up display not projecting, engine light on and in a steady on state. Lost communication with the TCM.

P1516 CHEVROLET - Throttle Actuator Control Module Throttle Actuator Position Performance

P 1682 Faulty Engine Control Module (ECM)

P2176 Faulty Throttle Actuator Control (TAC) module

U0101 Lost Communication with TCM

Reading this forum I found info leading to bulletin #08-07-30021E: Loss of High Speed GMLAN Communications... and deduced the following:

Fix was to locate 16 way electrical connecter on right side of automatic transmission. Disconnect, clean, and reattach.

Upon restarting- DTC's cleared from the car. Re-ran diagnostic code reader, no new codes. Test drove, and car is now back to perfect working order.

Hello there I am fighting p1516. Note this car has had a bad wreck broke both lower control arms passenger side. it is a Z06 and has manuel 6 speed. is this 16 you stated the same on the 6 speed trans? It tool a really hard hit on the right side. I am wondering if something could have really been jared there. Thanks in advance even if you do not know.

Jack... I do not know, but it was not the fix to my problem.
There is a much longer thread on this subject under my name, suggest you read those for more help... I went into a lot more detail about the what I learned was causing the problem.

search my name in the search forums
Hope this helps,

Dave...
