Hey peeps... so I had an unfortunate incident with a step ladder falling and nailing my carbon ZR1 spoiler from RPI... it kinda... exploded to put it lightly lol... well at any rate I guess I'm spoiler shopping today, Debating switching it up... so... show me some spoiler options! debating a GTC with the wickerbill but open to any and all ideas. Pic of car it will be going on below. I'm not necessarily married to it being carbon but I do like carbon.
I do like the straight across look, considered maybe that one with a small wickerbill. Anyone actually done the duraflex GTC wing? I know duraflex quality out of the box is pretty dismal but for someone with a fair amount of body work knowledge are they atleast workable?
unfortunate...we've probably all experienced similar incidents of involuntary destruction. Lucky the damage was contained. Weird how real carbon fiber would have exploded like that though...
I think your car, in that color, looks awesome with the small carbon ZR1 style you had on it...complementary to the car's curves, without looking like a large ricey piece tacked on as an afterthought. But that's just my old school take on things.
Personally, for me, something like this is a bit too much. The lines on these cars are just so sleek...and all this probably does is create drag and thus dirties the back anyway. https://c7carbon.com/corvette-c6-c-1...ack-p-700.html

I completely agree, a big part of me thinks I should just go back to exactly what I had, just figured I'm here and it couldnt hurt to look at what else is out there. I'm not much on that first link, the c7 style just never fit right to me on the c6s... I dont mind the second one but again like you said, I think i like the lower profile. I was actually pretty shocked it exploded like it did too, but after further inspection it must have been a pretty cheaply made one, there was barely any material there.
I've always been partial to the Katech, which is slightly taller. I plan to install one on my Grand Sport eventually. Meantime, I have one that's made of the same cheap-*** fiberglass with carbon overlay that I recently replaced on both the front and sides of the car with APR. The fitment of this thing bugs me.

Yeah apparently my RPI was made in the same manner, i was shocked the hit did the amount of damage it did, i expected to see some scuffed clear when i turned around, not pieces lol. oh well, never was thrilled with the fitment anyway. Right now im between anderson composites and Veloz I believe
If it's just for looks, the Supervettes style spoiler (without buying from Supervettes) looks killer to me. There are some cheap replicas still being sold but they don't have the 3rd brake light like the Supervettes spoiler.
I see veloz makes a nice supervettes style, cant decide if id rather go to that or stick with what I have... ive been driving myself insane with it today.
I have a Veloz and the quality is great. It's a gloss black wrap ZR1 wing and the wrap still looks new after three years. Although I will say it has the same issue most of these C6 spoilers have - a very thin area around the bottom of the third brake light. It's difficult to get the fitment just right.

Wow, their forged carbon version looks really nice.
