I am about to order the Proclip angle mount and was wondering if it places the phone at an easy to read angle. They offer a 15 degree wedge to angle it a little further. From some of the pictures that people have posted, it looks like it doesn't really point towards the driver but it is hard to tell in the pictures.
I've had mine for a number of years. It's mounted to the right of the radio and has adjustable swivel mount so it can be rotated in any direction and the phone is really easy to see from the driver's perspective. I have to occasionally tighten the back screw to keep the tension on the swivel, but otherwise it works great for me.
I just got mine after doing some research on this site about what the best cell phone holder was. Couldn’t be happier. It’s not cheap but I didn’t want something cheap stuck on my dash somewhere.
The base part of the mount is already on an angle, then your phone mount has the ball adjustment which can angle it another amount of degrees, 15*? Not sure but the angle is perfect.
Pro clip is great but expensive . I purchased the mount and instead of the phone holder I put a magnet on mine , worked just fine , did not interfere w magna charge .
I love my ProClip. I still have the stock head unit in my 2011 Grand Sport, but it has the USB jack where I can run XM Radio (or listen to my Plex music library) and Waze through my phone.
A good thing about the Proclip is that the mounting location can also vary, if you notice in the photos others have posted, some have it further down by the climate controls and some have it further up along side the radio, so when you get yours experiment a little to figure out which works best for you. So like mine, I use it for an iPod, and have it further up by the radio, as you can see here.
