Changing brake position switch
I'm having an issue with the brake position sensor making loud clicking noise, When I step on the brakes, the front parking lights dim,other wise no codes appear.also if I change sensor do I need a scan tool to recalibrecalibrate?

Never did one on a C6 but I've done them in other cars and it's just plug and play, they are generally just a normally open momentarily closed switch activated by the brake pedal.

I recently had to replace the brake master cylinder and the vacuum booster. The break light switch has an arm that moves with the brake pedal to activate the brake lights. Sounds like you need to replace it. It is a simple binary switch that does not require any relearning procedure.
