It'll depend on your car. If it's a pristine garage queen time capsule gem, yeah, it absolutely will. If your buyer is ome.of the many people whom doesn't like them, absolutely. If I was looking at your car and you only had those lights, or you had them and a ragged pair of OEMs, I know that's 2k I'm gonna have to spend on new lights so I'm taking that right off the top.
If your car is a ragged out POS, it might not matter, since it at least has headlights. So it all depends.
I pulled the OEM lights as soon as I got the Callaway home. The pic on the left isn't my car as it had the black buckets. But to me the OEM lights were the only thing making the car look dated. I get asked all the time what year the car is and people are stunned it's 12 years old.

Your car, so hopefully you like it, but I disagree. The OEM lights look way better and for the car more. The c7 light are like vinyl roofs to make it look like a convertible to me. They just don't look right and don't belong.
C7 style headlights are so much better than the OLD stock headlights
I totally agree that the stock headlights are ancient looking and date the car. I have so many ask what year my car is, and when they find out it's almost 17 years old, they are truly amazed. C7 style headlights are no comparison with the dated stock headlights

I also get the same astonishment from many folks when they find out the year of my stock looking car. My point is, it may not be because of the headlights.
If im not mistaken the c6 vettte headlights(and tail lights) mimic the ferrari of that vintage, modena and F430.. I'll never forget seeing my first c6 and doing a double take, thinking it was a ferrari.. seeing all that bright yellow in the headlight was eye opening, so...
To change anything on the c6 is sacrilege! ESP if you have a Z... Now im probably not your typical car guy since Ive been restoring classic cars for decades, and every time we would get one in -> its the same thing:
"REPLACE/FIX all the monkeying around from the last guy"... so NO, NEVER "upgrade"... always REPLACE with FACTORY SPEC!!
You'll be sorry when you have to pay $1000 ea for a "vintage" headlight in a few years when you could have spent $500

Or you just pull them out of the box you put them in from the attic.

I have all the stock parts off my car. If it's just a plain Jane Corvette, it's not going to matter. These aren't C2s. Should my son ever decide to sell my Callaway one day, the new owner may want all the original parts.
FYI- the C6 is a clone of a 575 not a Modena or F430.
I agree that the OEMs look dated. Thing is, the car is dated. I decided not long after I purchased mine that I was going to keep the stock lights, but I would have bought it with aftermarket lights, too. I'll be adding the really bright LED bulbs from VetteLights along with the switchback DRLs, LED fogs, and the body color side marker lasers.
To the OP's question, for a track car it will not matter at all. In general it will only matter to someone looking to maintain originality for collecting or showing purposes.
I suppose Im holding on tight to the idea that the C6 is the LAST great american muscle car.. STICK, RWD, NA... so to me, its already a classic... and NOT buying in to the c7 supercharger biz(dont get me started on the c8)..
I doubt that the C7 / C8 headlights have much of an impact on the price of the car. I have the C7 style because the original headlights reminded me of a Mitsubishi 3000. What percentage of the C6 production run has had the upgrade, probably no more than 15 - 20 percent and that is a high estimate. There are those that love the originals and those that like the upgrade, most people shopping for a C6 would not even be aware of the upgrade.

You realize the C7 Stingray and Grand Sport are both available with a manual transmission, rwd and NA?
I think the stock lights look better. I like the body color match. I know GM offered blacked out ones at the end of the C6 run, but for me if you have a color like Jetstream blue why would you want to break it up? If you want better visibility at night just change the bulbs. As for me I think the stock bulbs in my 08 are just fine for night cruising.
Depends on your audience.... I got my car at 38 years old and wanted a car that's fun to drive. I want a sports car, not a collector car, so when I was looking for a car I considered the updated lights to be a plus. I ended up buying a car that had stock headlights that were faded and replacing them with the Morimotos. To me, it's a more modern look and still fits the car nicely. I'm sure to a different eye it looks different.
If you're that worried about it, keep the originals and include in the sale.
But, that's also why I opted for Morimotos instead of the cheaper options. Even if they ended up functionally too similar to tell apart, at least if I'm selling a car with a high end replacement it's not a red flag that I was cheap with the car. If I go to sell the car and it's loaded up with ebay knock offs that might be a red flag to a buyer that I tried to cut corners with the car.... again, maybe that's just me.

Exactly. I never once thought there was a visibility issue.
I think people get hung up with respect to the overall value of their car.
While I would never modify a Ron Fellows or ZR1, I see no issue modifying an “everyday” Z06 or Grand Sport.
IMHO a collector is not looking for a stock base, Z06 or GS as an investment.
Condition and mileage, I think are more important than bone stock.
