Late Model Performance is about 20 mins from you. Alec has a pretty good track record. Also RPM is about 2 hour drive from you (Delaware). I'd stay away from online/remote tuning unless you have a good relationship with said tuner. In person is always better unless you have some understanding of the software yourself and your tuner can relay certain things to you.
I'd say for ease of travel Alec at LMP is your safest bet.

Bigger question you have to ask yourself is if the cost of a tune on a stock C6 is worth it.
Yes, if manual, and better yet if automatic.
But this includes someone that has the talent to tweak the throttle tables sharpen them for the $600 as well.
Hence if using HP tuner, than has installed the needed PID tables in HP tuner to get to the throttle tables for all three modes in the first place, and has the needed talent to tweak these without bricking the ECM is well.
Note, EFI live has all the needed tables from the start for throttle map tweaking, but same/same and if you get any of these wrong, will brick the ECM as well.
Good point. So do I need to spend $800.00 for a dyno tune or is there another way to tune the A/F wo spending that kind of money on a car that "Feels" like it is running well?
You should troubleshoot your car properly. I can almost garuntee it’s not a “tuning issue”

Yes that is my concern. I have checked and done everything I can except the 02 sensors. I did find a cracked clamp on the intake a while back. I hoped after the redoing the heads and new manifold gaskets that would fix it. The car does have a big Hurricane intake and BB exhaust with NPP.
Rob at Total Pro where I hade the heads done thinks its the tune?...what is my next step?

you realize what your o2 sensors do right? When getting lean codes, that should be the first thing you check, not the last.
does said “pro” tune? If you have heads done, does that mean the car is tuned already? Because tunes don’t change.

I had asked something similiar to this not to long ago - my question is how do you know if your tuner does this or not? I would imagine if you asked them they would say yes regardless if they do or not. Or word it as, you'll notice the difference, etc.... I guess this is why the reputation is so important?
