Default Tpms ???

I am going to be replacing the tires on the car .The TPMS have been on the car since new 15 years .They still work fine but the prudent thing to do is to replace them .
Not sure which way to aftermarket or oem . Any advice would be appreciated >

Go to rockauto.com and see if they have the schrader sensors to fit your car. This is who made the oem ones to begin with. I purchased mine there 3 years ago and programmed them with the tool without issue. Cost then was less than $100 bucks delivered.

Rockauto is a good source. I got my last set of AC Delco's thru Amazon.

I agree Rock Auto and Schrader TPMS sensors for your year Corvette. I recently bought Schrader TPMS sensors from Rock Auto for my 2011 Grand Sport. They were $21.97 each plus shipping. Shipped the next day after I placed the order.

I use the ones provided by Discount Tire when I get my tires changed. Their warranty is good for 7 years, which is about 2 tire changes for me. I've had some go out and Discount Tire replaced them absolutely free. No charge to me for re-mounting and balancing the tires.

Speaking from my C5 experience, I would go GM Genuine if you can.

Be sure the TPMs you purchase are PreProgrammed.
The PreProgrammed units will simplify the recognizing procedure with the Vette.

+1 for Rock auto. I usually just buy whatever one is most popular that's in stock. I went with these ones and have no complaints.

I use whatever the tire shop sells when I buy new tires. I have done this for 3 sets of tires on my C6 as well as every other car I have owned that had tpms. I have not had a single problem.

Replace the sensors. The batteries usually only last about ten to twelve years best case.

I think anyone with a car like this should be prudent enough to check tire pressures and not need the over complicated warning system. When I do new tires will probably do new but now all is good.
OR....you just have the tire shop provide the sensors, and if one goes out the mounting and balancing is on their dime, not yours.

I bought the OEM ones from Rock Auto and they have been trouble free for several years.

Or you could roll the dice and use the units from the tire store.

I was going to go with Schrader units for all the reasons stated but Amazon has the GM ones on sale for $50 so I went with them.
