E3 spark plugs are so bad that they refuse to install them. The shop returned the E3 spark plugs and wires that I provided and installed MSD wires and NGK plugs instead. Now I have to package up the E3s and return them.
Are they that bad?
The car drove fine to the shop. I arrived Sunday evening when they were closed and left my keys in their lockbox.
The next day while I was out of town I got a text saying that the car wouldn't start and that I needed a new battery. Okay. So I requested a quote on an AGM battery.
They said that there are no AGM batteries for Corvettes and gave me a lead acid Die Hard instead. Is this true?

These are the struggles you face when you need to rely on a shop for basic maintenance.
To their point, e3 plugs have plagued many of people over the years. They certainly do not belong in a sports car.
MSD ignition components are another one. The wires are not bad, or dist caps, but past that, don’t waste your money.
NGK spark plugs is what the engine takes, E3 design could cause issues. Shops don't always like installing customer supplied parts but they did good by putting the correct parts.
E3 plugs are slightly longer than let's say the NGK plugs for the LS engine. Having a S/C'd LS7, I would never use E3 plugs....lots of problems from those who have tried them. Stick with the tried and true.
stock delcos or NGK tr55s for n/a... anything else is a gimmick. Boosted cars require a little more playing with in the spark plug area but it all depends on your setup.

This is absolutely not true. The Optima Red Top and multiple other companies have AGM batteries. Get them to remove that lead acid battery.
AGM batteries aren't some night and day difference fwiw. The main advantage of AGM is that they can resist sloshing better, and supposedly they don't outgas. If your battery is under the hood, I wouldn't waste the money on an AGM.

Just an FYI concerning AGM and FLA batteries…if your Corvette came out of the factory with a FLA that is the battery you are supposed to use and not an AGM…the cars charging rate is based on that battery whether a factory AGM or FLA…Paul Koerner is a top notch Corvette Tech.
