Hey everyone, after reading the forum for a couple months, I figure its time to introduce myself. I'm a little late to the game but i figure its better late than never. We ( my bride and I ) bought our new to us 05 base model A4 3LT with 46,000 miles on Jan 24th. I have been able to get lots of insights into the cars and gotten lots of helpful information. The first thing we did was replace a barely wabbling HB and then took off last Friday for a 700 mile round trip to San Antonio with another one back there leaving Sunday morning. Man am I ever hooked lol. My wife is getting a little tired of hearing " Man I love driving this car!"
This is my first corvette and her 4th, hince the screen name. We are both looking forward to continue in this club for a long time!!! Ok I'm going to try and post a picture of our car if I can figure it out.

Welcome to the forum.

The 2005s used a different naming system for equipment groups than later years. Instead of 3LT, the top equipment group for coupes was 1SB.

What a terrific Covette you bought. It looks great. And the smile on your face when you drive it will never go away. Congratulations.

As said, that smile will never go away when you drive one of these things. It will take some time to stop pinching yourself when going into the garage first thing in the morning...yes, I really do own a RED CORVETTE. This Coming from a guy with a crystal red metallic 2012. And the wife's approval makes it even better. Welcome aboard.
