Amplifier??
i recently bought aftermarket JBL speakers for my 06' 3Lt Base coupe Vet i want a more powerful loud sound. The speakers i bought can handle a lot of power but the stock amp cannot give them the power they need so i was looking at purchasing a jbl club a6002 amp. I understand amps are hard to install because you have to wire through battery and wire the speakers to it but if the car already has a stock amp can i just replace it with the jbl? I heard something about using a converter if the wires cant handle that but what is that and how do i install one. Please walk me through step by step on replacing the amp. Im good with wiring and stuff i soldering in my new speakers so thats not a problem.

I just bypassed the stock amp all together and ran new wires, it wasnt bad at all fishing them through the door accordion.
I ran RCA's into the trunk, mostly because i went cheap on the head unit and the voltage on the pre amp outputs were trash so i put in a line driver then ran powered speaker wires back up front. Back speakers were easy enough.
Also ran a 0 gauged power wires from the battery straight to the back, power the 4x amp and the 1000w sub amp. I always overdue it on wire size for possible future upgrades and the bane of every audiophiles existence is a poor ground.
I wouldn't worry about speaker wires not being able to handle the power, they handle quite a bit. unless you are putting 100+ through them (and thats only at max volume probably only use 20w for normal listening) i assume 6002 is a 60 watt?
But, i would run new wires because why not. Not much soldering, crimp connections have always worked fine for me.
