Default Steering wheel corvette c6 2005

Hi, does anyone know where to get a upgrade steering wheel for my 2005 corvette?
There's several for 2006 and up, but not for my 2005.

Switch it to a 2006+ version (either oem or aftermarket).

If you want to switch to a '06 and up, I've got a brand new GM wheel with controls and an '08 clock spring I'll make you a deal on.

I imagine that any 2006-2013 Corvette steering wheel will work, BUT WAIT!

Any 2006-2011 GM vehicle with or without steering wheel buttons will work. Look into a Cobalt, Solstice, Sky, and others with a leather wrapped steering wheel. Most abundant will be one with buttons on one side or both sides. When shopping for a used one, make sure the leather is not damaged. Then buy the blank(s) to delete the buttons. Ebay is a good source for used steering wheels. I know a reliable guy who sells used Sky and Solstice wheels because he parts out those two cars. He likely can include the blanks. PM me if you want his contact information.

ALSO CONSIDER the need for a matching air bag with center emblem. A Chevy or Corvette symbol is a must. You don't want a Saturn, Pontiac, Buick, etc. on your Corvette.

Just don't forget the clock spring and airbag. Otherwise he'll have a paperweight.

Does changing steering wheel designs, require changing the clock spring?

Yes. 2005 steering wheel is completely different. 2006 and up steering wheel design requires changing the clock spring and airbag.

It means, it is unfortunate that the clock spring also needs to be changed out.

So changing an 05 steering wheel to an 06 or later, requires.....
- Leather wrapped steering wheel with no buttons.
- Chevy or Corvette emblem'd air bag
- Clock spring.

Anything else?

C6 2006 and later wheel, is a cobalt leather wrapped wheel that the Vet symbal on the air bag, and GM when to them to value engineer the car.

So colbalt steering wheel, 2006 or later Vet air bag, and as needed, change out the clock spring.
Also, since the 05 did not come with steering wheel controls, if you want to add them to the wheel for later, or after market radio with correct after marker radio module, then will need to add a few more wires as well.
