Default Start Button Problem

I went to start my car the other day, and when I pushed the start button, it fell partway inside the dash. Is this something that just needs to be popped back in place, or did something break and I'll need to find parts? I've never had my dash apart before so I've never seen what it looks like.

its held in with a metal clip on the back, you may be able to get to it if you pull the bottom panel out of the way

I replaced that switch myself recently A bit of work. But not something you can't do yourself. It is held in place Between plastic ears.
Then a weird metal lock holds it in place.

Does anyone think something is broken? Just wanting to know if I need to start looking for parts. I'm going to have to hire someone to do this for me as my current health will not allow me to fix it myself as much as I want to.

I just got my car back from the shop. It turns out the button really did just fall inside the dash. Nothing was broken or out of place, which is very strange. On the bright side, my shop only charged me for a half hour of labor.
