Hi guys. I am trying to help my wife’s friend sell her recently passed husband’s C6 and need some help on the value. She wants to sell it without hassle at a local specialty dealer but also doesn’t want to get ripped off. The car is a 2007 Coupe, Velocity Yellow, black interior, automatic, 3LT, magnetic ride, one owner with 1572 miles. Yes, only 1572 miles. Normally I would tell her to use KBB for the value but with those super low miles I am not sure if that would be accurate. Looking for a general estimate from the C6 experts. I am a C4 ZR-1 owner so I am clueless. Ha. Thanks for your help and suggestions. Here is the window sticker for reference.
KBB isnt accurate for Corvettes with any amount of miles.
Personally, that's the sort of car that's a good candidate for Bring A Trailer. I'd get a few offers from the local Chevy dealer, maybe a local specialty dealer, and set the reserve at their best offer.
The value will be determined by how the car was stored and maintained. When was the last time it was run or driven. Are the tires original and fluids all original factory fill? How long has the gas been sitting? Is there rodent damage?
Perfect for bring a trailer 👌
Sold my low mile 02 Z06 for $10k more than my reserve.
Now it was run through the entire NCRS system and everything worked and looked as new.
Hagerty's April '24 value on a base '07 Coupe in #2 excellent condition is $34,700. #3 good $21k.
Subtract 10% for the auto.
With those miles & if it was stored right I would think it's a #2 or close to it......good luck..
I always chuckle when I see the "subtract for auto" comments. 80-85% of Vettes sold for years have been auto, so obviously it's what the vast majority of buyers want. I could see maybe a small "add for manual" adjustment. JMO
I would guess anywhere from $33-$36k. Unless the tires have been replaced recently, the originals are 17 years old. I recently purchased a low mileage 09’ that I will be replacing tires that look new, simply because of age. I came up with those figures based on scouring ads looking at what is out there. I’m not by any means a sales expert. I’m so sorry for your friends loss.
I also think 30K is the top number. 35K is way too high IMHO. I looked at alot of C6's a month ago when I bought mine and none of the pre 2008 models where @ 30K. The closest I found was an 06 with under 12K and the asking price was 28K and it was a stick. For me I would be a little hesitant on purchasing a car with under 2K if you want to drive it.
Thanks everyone for the comments. Tires are 4 year old Michelins and it was driven a few times since winter this year before he passed away. It wasn’t a moth ball storage car just not driven a lot. I will probably tell her to shoot for $35k and see what happens. She doesn’t want to put it on any auction site like BAT and just wants to sell it. Thanks
I bought my 07 with 11k on it 2 years ago for 28k. 3lt black on black, but no MRC. That was the covid pricing and prices have fallen since then. I say 30k tops, but some guys will pay a premium for low mileage flawless cars. I'd start at 35k and see what I could get. Can always lower the price in negotiations, but can't really raise it.

That's a good starting point.

That's an understatement. A 17 year old car with 1,572 miles, that averages out to around 90 miles per year.
Last April 2023 I sold my 2006 3LT Z51 manual garage queen with 6k miles to a dealer for $30k he retailed it for $37k. Since your friend doesn't want to list on BAT I would list the car on FB marketplace or Ebay.
It appears that she wants to know what it's worth wholesale to the dealer, since she doesn't want to hassle with selling it herself. Most of you guys are throwing out retail numbers.
i think the problem w/ the high 30s is you are starting to get in the range of some Z06 prices, so you are competing w/ that…
good luck
Some Z06s and a lot of Grand Sports. I paid $38,500.00 for my 2011 4LT Grand Sport convertible, although it had 36K miles on it at the time. I would wager most buyers would opt for a slightly higher mileage car with that kind of budget and move into Grand Sport or Z06.
And that sticker looks familiar. That's close to my 2006 Z51 3LT coupe sticker price that I paid $54K out the door (brand new) back in 2006. So your original sticker price doesn't mean much because chances are that's not what it actually sold for. That was during the time where C6 was still trying to find its audience. I had a 2003 Z06, and it took a long time for me to warm up to the C6 styling. A few years after I traded that 2003 Z06 for the 2006 coupe (which was an auto - a mistake on my part), I got the itch for a Z06 and took it to Carmax. That was in 2008. It had 29K miles on it, and they offered something like $27K. I traded it in at Corvette World for a 2008 Z06 2LZ with 5K miles on it (they were asking $56K for it with an original sticker of over $80K). Corvette World gave me $29K on the trade and listed it for $36K on their showroom.
Low to mid $30Ks would be my guess also. Low to no miles are great, but it's still a 17 year old car. Some things deteriorate with age, not just miles. At the very least, that car will need tires, TPMS sensors and all fluids changed front to rear. After that, it should last for years and behave like a brand new car.
I think this depends on if the seller wants to sell the car fast and easy or she really wants to get the most $$ out of it. I have looked at C6's in the last couple days and the most I have seen 07 and before is like listed 29K. In the above posts those low milage cars he posted have been sitting for awhile and probably continue to sit. For under 30K you can find very well optioned base cars for 26-27K range with milage in the 20-30K range. It would not make sense for someone to spend close to 10K more and feel the milage difference is worth it. As Vinnie stated, the car is 17 years old and most buyers of the base model would gladly save the $$ and get a little higher milage. Don't forget, all we see is asking price.
My suggestion to the seller would be to put it up for 27K and more than likely it will sell quickly without any hassle to probably the 1st person to look at it. I feel if the asking price is in the mid 30K I would think you are going to have to play car salesman to get that money for this car. My 2 cents FWIW.
