Welll, security screws are inexpensive.
Plus some are polished steel/ metal, so you have a nice subtle modification.
Why not?

I believe this modification is less for someone just stealing the lights rather someone popping out the light so they can access the hatch release from inside the car. That's a very common way Vettes get stolen.

Anyone know the exact size/pitch of the OEM screw? I was going to go to the local ACE Hardware and get a security screw for the taillights.

I guess I could just take off the OEM screw and take it with me to the store but just checking if anyone knows the sizing.

If you put a wrap on your car, be sure to use super glue so someone can't steal it too.

I predict that the only person this will ever stop from removing your tail lights will be you when you decide to remove them and can't find the security bit anymore in your toolbox.
