Shift Cable repair?

How much should a Chev dealer charge to replace the Shift cable on a 2005 Corvette with Automatic Trans?

Hmm, I think my friend paid about $500 for a similar repair on his Corvette last year, but that was including labor and parts. Prices might have changed since then though, so don't quote me on that.

When I had my 05 cable replaced they charged me $600.00, and two months ago my friends C5, his charge was $1,200.00 labor rate has changed.

As you probably already know, if the cable is not broken and is just the nylon bushings on either end, they can be replaced with a lot less labor involved.
