Default Climate Control Module

I’ve been looking through the forum threads for issues with the climate control modules. It seems like most posts I am seeing has to do with flickering of the unit, but that is not the issue I am having.

my module seems to be getting confused on controlling the temperature. Sometimes when it is 70 degrees outside, I need to max out the temperature to get the heater to engage. The other day it was 95 degrees and I couldn’t get the car to cool down. I even tried to go manual and it took forever to cool down.

I cannot decide if it is the module or the thermostat in the car giving me issues.

Anyone had similar issues and what was the fix? Looks like getting a replacement climate control module might be a bit challenging because I don’t want a used one.

You might want to try to reset your module, don't know if that will help, can give it try.Soft reset of the A/C control module

Press both defroster buttons(front & rear) and the fan speed up. The side of the fan button that increases the speed.

If you decide to replace the module I recommend E-Bay, there not made anymore, has far has I remember.

It could be the inside cabin Temperature sensor that needs replacing.

Taking forever to cool down sounds more like a problem with the AC. May just need a recharge.

Heater won't want to engage when its 70 outside. Probably 80 in the car already.
