I have a base C6 Coupe and in the process of changing the Pads and Rotors.
Pad are Stop Tech, which came with upper/lower retainer clips and some rattle clips.
Pads removed did not have these rattle clips just the upper/lower retainers.
Any pics how to install them?
Keep in mind that the pads may work on different vehicles and may not be only specific to Corvettes. Use the clips like the ones currently on your Vette.
Those clips fit between the outside curved portion of the pads towards the wheel and the caliper. Without the caliper in place they will just fall on the ground, so stick them in there if you want them as you're putting the caliper back on. I've found that sometimes anti-rattle clips get installed with pads and sometimes they don't. I don't think the Corvette's brake pad clip system is especially sophisticated. In fact, at the risk of drawing ire, I think it 's a little less sophisticated than some regular slow, poorly performing cars. There, I said it. My wife's Honda has these little clips to try and keep properly lubricated brake pads from contacting the rotors when the brake is not depressed. My Corvette? No. I am NOT a Corvette expert. Nowhere near, but my experience is that GM mixes some brilliant engineering with some idiotic design choices just to keep people confused and guessing. And to save money, or so they claim. Consider C6 ventilated rotors for more evidence of that. GM is a big company with far too many accountants and not enough engineers. $0.02
