Weighted shift ****

Is there a perfect or ideal weight for a weighted shift **** ?

I'm considering this one from WC Lathe Werks, it weighs 680 grams (1.49 lbs)

That’s a good point. That’ll melt your hand right on the shifter. A welders glove might work.

I had a metal weighted shift **** on my subie and these guys are right, that bitch gets HOT!! Especially in the NC sun!

I have a polished pearl finish titanium shift **** in my MazdaSpeed. Its perfectly weighted and has been in several MX5 since around 2000. It gets very hot in the summer especially after the car has been driven and parked in the sun. You can cover it with a sock or towel when its parked but it still will get hot. I was able to purchase a simple gearshift cover a number of years ago and use it during the summer months. I'll post a picture when I can.

I had him custom make me one and went with aluminum. Think mine was the first he had done and then he added it to the site. I had mine wrapped in leather.

Who wrapped it for you? I really like that! My issue is all the ***** available for the Vette are too large in diameter for my liking. I like the old Honda teardrop style shift *****. The factory **** is a really nice size as well. Once you go aftermarket, it seems like they are just all very large diameter. My car came with a cue ball type **** and I swapped the factory one back on. If anyone has a lead on a nice slender **** that would work with a factory C6 mount or the MGW (will eventually get one), definitely let me know.
