Who wrapped it for you? I really like that! My issue is all the ***** available for the Vette are too large in diameter for my liking. I like the old Honda teardrop style shift *****. The factory **** is a really nice size as well. Once you go aftermarket, it seems like they are just all very large diameter. My car came with a cue ball type **** and I swapped the factory one back on. If anyone has a lead on a nice slender **** that would work with a factory C6 mount or the MGW (will eventually get one), definitely let me know.
A custom upholstery shop did the wrap. Just to be clear, my shift **** was made to my specs and was not off the shelf. I sent him the dimensions for the radius and overall height. Took a few mails and a phone conversation but we finally agreed on my ask. He can make anything you want.
I've been banging non weighted shift ***** for a half century+. I guess I've missed out and don't know it...
Nothing new. It’s been done and makes for a smoother, positive shifts. But, you can’t go too heavy, a hair over a pound is all that’s needed to feel the difference. I have the MGW Flat Stick Shifter with the Hammer weighted shift **** and I will never go back to the normal ball **** that came with the shifter.
I installed the Raceseng Contour ****, 1.8 in extender and boot collar. Haven't driven it yet but will this Saturday to the Lake Mirror Classic car show in downtown Lakeland.
Here are some pics:
[QUOTE=11GSCoupe;1608259496]This **** looks great! I'll have to look into them![
even without the engine running , I immediately felt the ease this **** gives to the shift action.
I too have a Raceseng weighted ****. "Nitro" in silver with smooth delrin cover. Pricey, but their engineering work is outstanding. Using with a MGW shifter and lower box and antivenom mod. I think you'd be hard pressed to find a smoother, more precise shifting mechanism. Worlds better than stock, for sure.

They are pricey, relatively speaking, but having the TMOD shifter with the 9/16 18 **** threading, the three piece set that i have from Raceseng is perfect and looks factory, and the 500 gram **** is excellent.
To me it's worth every nickel to have this level of quality in a shift **** for my manual transmission weekend toy. And i saved $51 with promo FREEDOM23 and the extender was on sale for $30 off reg price.
