I’m wondering are the side skirts ( at a pricy $159 for ABS) worth it or are the a flimsy , I’ll fitting lite wt piece of junk ? I just sent back a set from another vendor on Amazon that we’re a big disappointment but priced at just $79
given all these shut parts come from chinia , is EOS going to be the same crap?
EOS IS VERY VAUGE in their description and their pictures totally suck so any help here would be appreciated. It’s an expendable part, and I drive my car, not a grate queen, so I know they will get replaced every so often as they get dinged and scraped so donot suggest carbon fiber, just the abs product above thanks
Put EOS ABS side skirts on mine in 2017. 140 bucks. They were fine until I looked at them wrong and chunks would break off on several occasions. (maybe I hit something, but ease of damage not acceptable). They won't get "dinged"...they will break.
ABS....never again....too brittle. Same with the shitty front ABS splitter that didn't last long.
I went back with a pair of black primer FIBERGLASS skirts from eBay vendor NewPerformanceParts. 80 bucks. Nice (and repairable, if needed) and still looking good. These but in black primer finish
You gotta pay to play. But since most our cars are so low, we tend to damage the expensive offerings that come with the Corvette tax. I'd rather pay 80% less and have to replace them every other year or two, than spend top dollar and have to replace them just as often. It's your wallet, man.
My car is not a daily [1000 miles per year] and I bought the EOS side skirts and front lip… after one speed bump in my jobs parking lot (maybe 5 mph) a part of the side skirt chipped off (a bit bigger than a 50 center quarter) pretty unhappy how fragile it was ! Now if I was speeding and broke it off , I’d understand but I was driving slow due to work speed regulations. I’m going to try to fix the side skirt with a plastic welding tool I have and if it works great, if not ima look into a different option. I have brand new Bilstein shocks b8’s with Eibach lowering bolts

I drive my car , it’s not a garage queen and living in nyc I decently do not have the car lowered, so I need to go with something that stands a half a shot. The above mentioned fiberglass set seems to be the cats ***. That’s an easy repair for me, I’ve worked with vettes and boats glass since a kid, I may even be tempted to glass in some support befor install
I went with one that was 79 bucks from Amazon looked same in the pics but was kind of cheesy when it showed up so I sent it back. My question was if it was the same as the $159 from EOS. But I have decided that the move is to buy the fiberglass part listed above as the way to go.!
Pay for something that has some quality. I have ACS Composite side skirts on my car. Fit is perfect and they have been extremely durable. I bought mine from PFYC.com and I painted and mounted them myself. Bought a primer and paint kit in carbon flash from Paint-Scratch.
And that’s why I’m going with the $80 fiberglass. They are cheap and repairable. Don’t care for the carbon fiber look, it’s sooo over played out Can of adhesion promoter and black rustolium pro spray and done! No need to spend big bucks for something that gets beat on, I don’t drive it like a primadonna like most of the vette owners, I drive the **** out of it, as it was ment to be driven

Here is the link for the primer ones I got for $80 couple years back. You might contact the seller and see if he can adjust the crazy price. Should be no more than $90 now.
My primer ones looked good after light sand and rattle-can Satin Black.
Im looking at this too. Ive decided not to do sides but want a front lip. My car bascially skips down the road so probably not lookong to spend a fortune on a lip spoiler.
Saw a C8 bottom out few weeks ago crossing York ave to get on the FDR. Saw a BMW hit the curb (cause its so beat up and dirty you can hardly see it) on the same crossing and I saw a motorcyclist die right in front of me after hitting a pothole. This is all just in the last few months and I only drive in once a week. Buy what's cheapest so it can be replaced if need be. Be safe out there.
Not sure if anyone has heard or tried these before but they are a 6MM aluminum material composite… it looks like sturdy (same style my s2000 had and that was a track car) any input from anyone on these

Considering these myself, just haven't pulled the trigger yet.
