Good morning all.
I have a 2007 Vert Z51.
The HB was replaced years ago. Chevy dealer with OEM parts. Well the problem is back. Surprise.
I live in the Roanoke/Lynchburg area of Virginia. I could sure use a recommendation for a shop to do the repairs.
I could also use the aftermarket parts information so I can supply the good stuff.
A good place to get all kinds of info: C&S Corvettes, out of Sarasota Florida. Lots of stuff on line. They are known Nationwide. Look at some of there on line recommendations, how to, parts recommended etc. they even have info on repair shops good and bad as reported by their followers.
Two Corvette clubs in your area are the Star City Corvette Club & the Roanoke Valley Corvette Club. Contact them for a recommendation for Corvette specialty shops. As you've learned, stay away from dealers.
As for replacement HBs, two good choices are the PowerBond (PB1117SS) or the ATI (ATI-917303). Remember also to have the shop use new ARP bolts & friction washers. Summit Racing is a good source for either, but available from others as well.
Double check the p/n's before you order either.
OEM HB was the problem! Hopefully you were not the person that replaced the problem with a problem....as stated above...Summit racing for your parts.
HB I bought was #
