Yeah I'm super impressed with how he did that and the door pockets. I'd love to pick his brain, we always 2 piece that area and run a separate piece for the jam, he's talented for sure.

I hope I'm not hijacking. But why can't a wrap last as long as paint, as long as you ceramic coat it ect?
The short answer is material breakdown over time. Heat/UV breaks down the material and adhesive and disintegrates it. Some films are better than others. A high gloss poly film like tech wrap or inozetek is good for like 2-3 years tops depending on your climate zone and sun exposure, some of the newer 3m and Avery cast films can go 8 years plus, but the finish isn't as nice (though 3m is making some strides here with their new HG series).
