Default MAF sensor LS3

A couple years ago I had a small vacuum leak that wasn't noticeable at first glance. One of the small lines had cracked and left a small hole on the bottom of one of the tubes that cross over the throttle body.
First thing I did was run out and get a new MAF sensor, Hitachi brand from O'Reillys. After finding and fixing the real problem, I just left the Hitachi sensor installed. This was in the middle of a 3000 mile road trip.
Fast forward a couple years, and lately I've been having some rough hot starts that popped a P0102 code. The code kept coming back after about 3 or 4 hot starts. Cold starts seemed to be ok. After checking all the vacuum lines again, I decided to put the OEM MAF sensor back in. Wow WTF, big difference. Code has not returned and the engine starts much more smoothly, no stumbling or surging for a second or two.
Stay away from non OEM parts, especially sensors and electronics, whenever you can.
