Been thinking about buying this. Can it be used without your throttle body?
Do any check engine lights come on or codes generated?
Yes, it can be used without our throttle body. However, by only addressing one end, you're only solving part of the issue. For the best performance and results, we recommend using both.
That said, no check engine lights or codes come up.
I had the older version of the throttle controller on my 2008 and the Soler TB as well. I loved how the controller "woke" the car up. I have a 2011 GS now and will eventually get the Soler TC and TB for it as well. I am hunting down some other electrical gremlins first. Not that the Soler products have anything to do with that but budgeting for new electrical stuff slows down my other vette upgrades.
Is it difficult to change the throttle body in other words is it as simple as unbolting and bolting in the new one
Replacing the throttle body is straightforward and not difficult. It really is as simple as unbolting the old throttle body and bolting in the new one.

All installed works perfect, keeping it on sport 5 or 6 is perfect.
question on use can I make changes while driving or should I be at standstill? I don’t want to start throwing codes.
Glad to hear everything’s working great and Sport 5 or 6 is hitting the sweet spot for you!
Yes, you can safely make changes while driving using the throttle controller — just be sure to do so carefully and without distractions, ideally when you're at a red light. The controller is designed to handle mode changes on the fly and won’t throw any codes for adjusting it during use.
Is there ANY increase in horsepower or torque by changing to this new throttle body?
There are two distinct parameters when talking about gains, improvements, hp/trq, etc; Wide open throttle (WOT) and partial throttle. For partial throttle the gains are independent of any other modification. The most widely talked about is at WOT, but it becomes more of an entire system as a whole (from the filter, all the way to the exhaust). As you approach WOT, the gains will start to drop (from the throttle body alone) unless you have supporting mods. Will they drop to zero? No, but as you open up the entire system more, it will help the throttle body and the other mods too. As an example, we have had customers with no modifications (0, stock) gain ~5-10HP by just switching the throttle body (WOT). In contrast on a heavily modified car, by just switching the throttle body, we have seen gains of ~35+HP (again, this is at WOT). Independently from that, our main focus was on drivability and improved performance on the partial throttle area (right after idle till about 50% to 80% blade opening), that increased airflow/hp/trq will always be there regardless of anything else you add or remove. It is hard to talk concrete numbers for those gains at partial throttle (load dyno would be needed plus vehicle specific scenarios) but the percentage increase is huge and you can feel it without a dyno. We do not claim any numbers (too many variables and vehicle setups); we just make the best valve possible available for these vehicles (more features, design, and max possible airflow for the size); no OEM or competing throttle body flows more air or is vehicle specific.
I emailed twice last two days (just forward to your email now) and called and left message on BOTH customer support and warranty/return phone numbers .... LOVE it if someone would read my email listen to my voice mails and REPLY!!!
