For silver, I'd suggest blue or black. Blue if you want a nice contrast with a bright color, or black if you want a more stark contrast. I'd go with blue personally. These are the stripes I went with on my 08 vert:

I'd suggest Graphite Grey stripes on Silver.

While I cant help you with the Silver car suggestion, I CAN say that Mike at Vette stripes sells an awesome and easy to install product. That's who i got the stripes for my Vette from. And you can do a dual color choice.

Agree with graphite gray or, for a more subtle look, light gray or dark silver.

I'll offer another thumbs up for Mike at www.vettestripes.com. He's very easy to work with and produces a nice quality product using very good materials. I just installed a set of 60th Anniversary stripes ordered from him and am very satisfied. The gallery on his web site illustrates many different styles and colors against different Corvette base colors.

I advise color-matching stripes so that you can't see them.

You sound like my wife she doesn't like stripes either lol. I've always gone for a more understated look w subtle enhancements but there are some c6's w stripes that I've seen and think they look good.

I liked racing stripes on cars when I was young, but the older I got, the less I liked them until I don't like them, not on any car except maybe an actual race car. I don't know....maybe it makes the car look childish or something. I only know that today at age 66, I like the car looking "clean" and a Corvette is no exception. My same general rule (my taste) applies to exagerated air scoops and such. It's how I've looked at cars since maybe age 40, maybe age 35. I don't mean to be insulting. It's just how I feel, so much that it influenced my decision to consider buying a Corvette, or take a pass on it. So when a subject like this one gets posted, I feel compelled to share my thoughts. Again, my apologies.

It always bothered me that the 2004 Commemorative Edition ZO6 has a major stripe thingy on the hood, and the white 2013 427 has full stripes. Even those two little stripes on C6 front fenders with the heritage package bothers me. Its just not my thing. If I had them, I would break my rule of keeping the car stock, and get them professionally removed.

1970 Chevelle SS LS6 454 red with the black stripes is the pinnacle of a bad *** car with stripes.

Stripes have their place...I just don't like them on modern cars...really don't like them on any Corvette...looks stupid.

  • We had Mike at vettestripes.com match the red leatherwork in the blade silver car. Happy with the look; and the stripes have held up well for nearly six years and 30K miles. The car is garage kept.

If you decide on vinyl stripes, Mike is really good to deal with.

We trudge on.

It's not insulting to have an opinion.

I bought it this way.
Considered removing the stripes in the beginning, but the wife talked me out of it.
Kinda like it these days.

Its a unicorn here in the Netherlands, even without the stripes

I like subtle, like the stripes on my Centennial.

Bought from and installed by Mike at Vette Stripes. He suggested the red hash marks for a splash of color.

Love the stripes! That design, with the 1/4" pinstripe added to each side of the typical 13th anniversary Corvette stripes was my idea. Mike made it happen, and he liked it so much that he made it an offering on his site. I wanted an old school style stripe, and it turned out to work amazingly well on the C6 curves. That color looks great on the silver!!

I owe you thanks then! It was that pinstripe that sold me on the idea of adding stripes to the car. It really does make the lines pop on the car and I can’t look at a silver C6 the same way anymore! Lol!
