Hi. Just got my first one. In my late 60's. Having a blast. Only problems so far are rear view mirrors won't auto-adjust no matter how many times I follow the manual.(Seats work fine) and spare fob buttons don't work. Dealership has one on order but I may have to get one from amazon. Where do most of your have your maintenance done if not DIY? Dealership? Trusted mechanic? Glad to be here. I'm keeping this thing as long as I can get in and out of it.

DIY.....Always DIY! And not just to save money....for the satisfaction of knowing "job well done".

Replaced trailer brake relay on GF's Silverado yesterday.....$365 dealer service vs. $27 30-min DIY. You decide.

Been DIY'ing for 47 years. (I am kinda an older guy too).

Welcome and congrats on the new ride.

I do my own maintenance and repairs. Many members here do their own. Congrats on your first Corvette and welcome. I have had many over the course of the past 46 and a half years.

You don't say if you can or like to do self wrenching. I do as much as I can myself. Oil changes on my LS3 are easy. Just use a low profile floor jack or do like me and drive cars one front wheel onto a piece or 2 of plywood so jack can fit underneath. Use jacking pucks at jacking points. Secure with at least 2 good jack stands. Double check everything. Fun, relaxing and easy. Takes me a long time but I'm retired so it's ok. Oh ya, 70+.

Congratulations on your C6 and Welcome to the forum. I would try new batteries in your fobs. What is your location? Also contact a local corvette club as they will have mechanic recommendations.
